Member Emergency Resource - Committee

This Ad Hoc Committee that has met over the past year and is now ready for a level of commitment and ideas from the members. Cathy Nelson is the Chair of this Committee. Our financial system will be housed within the Omaha School Foundation banking system. At the last meeting we talked about how to help members in need sooner rather than later and have generated some great ideas. Your support is crucial to building this service for members. Do you know of a member in need? Briefly tell us a colleague’s story:

1. Give an opinion about submission criteria for funds.

2. Suggest qualifications for a review panel.

3. Tell us what you’d like to do to help out:
	I’m willing to put together auction baskets. I’m willing to find donations for baskets. I am willing to help with the New Teacher Garage Sale in August. –Tables are rented from the MER-C to raise funds and teachers sell materials. New teachers are able to buy items from peers at very reasonable prices. Everyone wins… I am willing to coordinate efforts to raise money. I have connections to donate items. I believe in what MER-C is trying to accomplish, I’d like to serve on the committee.
