Candidate Statement: I am seeking the opportunity to serve as your president for one more term. I believed in the power of positive relationships, working in collaboration and sharing success. As a Team -- Vice presidents, Board, Committees and Staff, have saved over $100,000 and have a balanced budget. We have many successes to be proud of, and much more to do. Please vote to continue my leadership as president.

Candidate Statement: I'm the candidate with Life Experience, Association Know-how, and New Teacher Enthusiasm; Masters Degree in Curriculum and Learning with an emphasis in instructional technology. Six years of membership with the NEA and NSEA serving on both the state and national boards. Two years teaching fourth grade at Jefferson Elementary.

Candidate Statement: This is my 18th year of teaching and 15th year in OPS. I look forward to again serving Middle Level teachers as a board member. OEA members deserve great value for our dues dollars. Good communication and excellent support from our Association is the first step toward providing that value.

I have been teaching Elementary Education for the past 10 years. I taught 6th grade for 2 years. For the past years I have been the teaching Technology to PreK-6th Grade.
I have a daughter that recently graduated from Northwest High School. She now attends University of Nebraska Lincoln as a Secondary Education Major.
My husband Jeff and I are both graduates of Benson High School- although we graduated in different years. We are both strong believers in the education we received in our communities.

Chair of the Ethnic Minority Affairs Committee 2008-2009.
Attended Western Region Leadership Conference for the past 2 years.

Candidate Statement: I have been a member of OEA ever since I began teaching here in Omaha. When I began my career I felt it was imperative to be a member of an organization like the OEA that advocates for the professionalism of teachers. I have since become more involved in the OEA as an AR captain this past year, and look forward to continuing my growing involvement as an NEA Representative Assembly Delegate.
Candidates Association experience in the past two years: I was an association representative for my building last year and assisted our AR captain with various duties such as stuffing mailboxes and getting information out to staff. This past year I was selected as AR captain for my building and have attended many of the OEA meetings. I also send frequent OEA information updates to my staff as well as answer any questions they might have.
