Advocating for Members

The OEA advocates for its members through its publications, member rights actions, political involvement, and special activities.

The OEA professional staff provides timely consultations to members and, when requested, on-site problem solving and conflict mediation. If a problem cannot be resolved and the issue is a violation of contract or district policy, the Association will process a grievance.

The OEA represents teachers with local, state, and national policymakers. We believe that every education decision is ultimately a political decision.

The OEA Tip-Off is the official publication of the Association. It is published biweekly August through May. The OEA also publishes a community newsletter, The Image, and a newsletter just for newer teachers, The NEWS.
