OEA-CAF

By the OEA Bylaws and Board Resolution and under the laws of Nebraska, the OEA-Children’s Action Fund (OEA-CAF), is organized as a separate, segregated political committee. Its Board is only indirectly responsible to the OEA Board and its funds are entirely separate from OEA Funds.

The OEA-CAF Board of Directors is composed of seven members, including the President of the Omaha Education Association, one member of the OEA Board of Directors–to be elected by the OEA Board of Directors, the PACE Committee Chair, and four OEA-CAF members elected at large.

OEA-CAF is funded by voluntary contributions of $1.00 or more per year by OEA members. These contributions are over and above OEA dues and are in no way required as a part of OEA membership. OEA collects the contributions and transfers them immediately to the OEA-CAF account.

OEA-CAF is primarily concerned with races for the OPS School Board, but does get involved in ballot issues.
